Ida Martin
Ida is originally from Port Lavaca, Texas. For 21 years she worked for the Denton Police Department as an emergency 911 Shift Supervisor. During her tenure there, she was also the public educator for schools in Denton. Ida also has worked with mental & physically challenged at Denton State School.
With a gamut of interests, Ida found her calling and enrolled in ITS Beauty Academy in 2004. Ida’s education continued at Medinail Academy and North American School of Podology. She received her Texas Nail Technician License in 2004. Ida then owned her own nail salon for about 7 years. The focus of her salon was providing Healthy Pedicures & Professional Nail Care, thus that was the salon name!
Giving to the community is another passion for Ida so she volunteers to give nail services to many types of profit and non-profit organizations. With her focus on staying healthy and well, Ida is a certified Zumba fitness instructor!
Married to Cliff Martin, she has 3 children, 4 stepchildren, 3 grandchildren. Ida’s hobbies are spending quality time with her grandchildren, watching documentaries, old westerns, comedies, teaching fitness classes, volunteering for church activities, homeless veteran’s programs, and being an advocate for crisis victims.

Yolonda graduated from James Madison High School in 1983. Here’s a bit of trivia about her alma mater, James Madison High School; their boys’ basketball team were the 2022 state champions! Go Trojans!
Yolonda pursued her higher education at El Centro College (1992, Mary Crowley Program). Then received her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate from First Step To Medicine. Working for the next 8 years as a Nursing Assistant, Yolonda became certified as a Home Health and Patient Care Assistant. Those years were very rewarding for Yolonda, especially because during that time is when she found her professional destiny to be in medical care. Yolonda’s work provided the opportunity to learn the basics of human anatomy while assisting patients with daily activities and personal hygiene.
In 2000/2001 attending Education America/Remington Yolonda became a Certified Medical Assistant. Then 2020 was the year Yolonda received her license as a Certified Manicurist/Nail Technician at TINT Cosmetology School.
Yolonda’s training as a medical professional enabled her to work in hospitals, nursing homes, for home health agencies, staffing agencies, spa’s and physician offices in the DFW metroplex.
With all of that experience, Yolonda defined her true passion to be providing superior care to her patients, along with ensuring their experience is pleasurable.
Married to her high school sweetheart in 1984, Yolonda became a navy wife for 14 years, and considers that a very special time in her life. Single now, she sees her daughter and grandson as often as possible. Yolonda enjoys being a homebody, yet she also devotes her spare time to being with her close family members.

Your Top-Rated Podiatrist in the Dallas & Fort Worth Metroplex
The doctor has great “bedside manners” when talking to patients. Great staff and comfortable atmosphere.

The staff at Dallas Podiatry Works could not have been more courteous, helpful, and professional in doing their job. They made me feel comfortable when I was there, which is certainly appreciated. They answered all the questions that I had and just made each visit the most pleasurable that it could be. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing this type of foot care.

I would highly recommend Dr. Brook to anyone with foot problems–especially problems that stump other podiatrists. He really is very caring and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Joel Brook and the staff were nice and helpful. Though I was a new patient, I got right in as soon as they were open in my preferred location. They diagnosed the problem and provided medicines along with a perfect gel bandage so I could keep exercising while my toes healed. My toes already hurt less and look a little better each day. If I have future issues, I will be a repeat customer. Here’s hoping I don’t, but at least I know my feet are in good hands.

I visited this office for an ingrown toe nail a few years ago. After seeing another doctor, who made it worse, he referred me to Dallas Podiatry Works. The doctor there was able to fix my problem. I’m not great with reviews, all I can tell you is that this doctor and staff will have you up and running or doing whatever it is you do in no time. You will be in great hands. You’d be a fool not to use this doctor. Now its time to visit him again for the other toe.
