Meet Dr. Kevin Oshiokpekhai

Dr. Kevin Oshiokpekhai, DPM, AACFAS, is a podiatric physician with a deep-rooted passion for healing and a commitment to his community. Raised in Hillside, New Jersey, Dr. Oshiokpekhai’s journey into the world of podiatry was inspired by childhood visits to his uncle’s clinic, where he witnessed the transformative power of foot and ankle care. His own triumph over a fractured left ankle during a high school football game further fueled his determination to positively impact patients’ lives through medicine.

A graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Biological Sciences, Dr. Oshiokpekhai earned his doctorate in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He honed his skills during a rigorous 3-year foot and ankle surgical residency at Jefferson Northeast in Philadelphia, where he garnered recognition as resident of the year for two consecutive years and earned the esteemed role of chief resident.

Driven by a thirst for knowledge, he pursued a Reconstructive Foot and Ankle surgical fellowship in Columbus, Ohio, under the guidance of the Foot & Ankle Specialist of Central Ohio. His expertise flourished as he mastered forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery, arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques, charcot reconstruction, external fixation, and total ankle replacements. Dr. Oshiokpekhai’s dedication to advancing podiatric medicine is evident through his research contributions featured in podiatry journals and posters at national podiatric conferences.

Dr. Oshiokpekhai’s proficiency spans a broad spectrum, from addressing deformities to orchestrating intricate post-traumatic reconstructions that restore weight-bearing capabilities. His holistic approach encompasses a repertoire of techniques, including minimally-invasive surgeries, external fixation, arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, and fracture care. He is an expert in conditions ranging from bunions and hammertoes to ingrown nails, diabetic ulcers, plantar fasciitis, peripheral nerve injuries, and congenital foot issues.

Dr. Oshiokpekhai is a firm advocate of preventive medicine, he takes time to educate his patients and their families about the origins of their conditions and the importance of proper management. His goal is to provide outstanding patient care beyond their expectations with an unwavering commitment to optimal healing, function, and mobility. Dr. Oshiokpekhai embodies the essence of a compassionate and dedicated podiatric professional.

When not caring for his patients, Dr. Oshiokpekhai enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, jogging, sports events, photography, music, and cooking.

The doctor has great “bedside manners” when talking to patients. Great staff and comfortable atmosphere.

The staff at Dallas Podiatry Works could not have been more courteous, helpful, and professional in doing their job. They made me feel comfortable when I was there, which is certainly appreciated. They answered all the questions that I had and just made each visit the most pleasurable that it could be. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing this type of foot care.

I would highly recommend Dr. Brook to anyone with foot problems–especially problems that stump other podiatrists. He really is very caring and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Joel Brook and the staff were nice and helpful. Though I was a new patient, I got right in as soon as they were open in my preferred location. They diagnosed the problem and provided medicines along with a perfect gel bandage so I could keep exercising while my toes healed. My toes already hurt less and look a little better each day. If I have future issues, I will be a repeat customer. Here’s hoping I don’t, but at least I know my feet are in good hands.

I visited this office for an ingrown toe nail a few years ago. After seeing another doctor, who made it worse, he referred me to Dallas Podiatry Works. The doctor there was able to fix my problem. I’m not great with reviews, all I can tell you is that this doctor and staff will have you up and running or doing whatever it is you do in no time. You will be in great hands. You’d be a fool not to use this doctor. Now its time to visit him again for the other toe.
