Our Plano, TX, Podiatrist Suggests 3 Foot-Friendly Gifts for Your Valentine

1) You Can’t Go Wrong with a Pedicure

A gift certificate for a pedicure is a fabulous –and fairly inexpensive – gift for your Valentine, says our Plano, TX, podiatrist. Both women and men will appreciate an hour of luxurious foot care, with the convenience of a gift card to select an appointment that fits any busy schedule.

A simple pedicure usually includes foot soaking, foot scrubbing with a pumice stone or foot file, nail clipping, nail shaping, moisturizer, and nail polishing. Some salons and spas also offer deluxe pampering, such as adding feet massage to a basic pedicure treatment –this makes your gift EXTRA special.

2) Our Feet Love Moisturizers

According to our Plano podiatrist, our hardworking feet deserve some care and attention, but most people end up neglecting their feet more than any other part of the body. That’s why deluxe foot lotions and balms are great gifts to pamper the feet of your special someone this Valentine’s Day. Applying moisturizers to your feet brings needed oxygen and nutrients to your tissues, as well as eases aches and pains.

For this special occasion, look for a high quality therapeutic lotion or foot balm, such as a moisturizer that is glycerin-based for quick absorption. You might also try a product that contains fragrant herbs like eucalyptus, lemon, chamomile, or lavender, which can promote relaxation, suggests our podiatrist in Plano, TX. In addition, moisturizers with ingredients like peppermint, almond, or avocado oils have the added benefits of refreshing skin and helping alleviate foot odor.

3) Make a Splash with a Foot Spa

Our Plano podiatrist says check out the wide variety of portable foot spas available online or in retail stores. With names like “shower bliss,” “aqua jet,” and “bubble mate,” these heated footbaths are sure to provide a welcome soak for any pair of worn-out feet. Your Valentine might have to share!

The doctor has great “bedside manners” when talking to patients. Great staff and comfortable atmosphere.

The staff at Dallas Podiatry Works could not have been more courteous, helpful, and professional in doing their job. They made me feel comfortable when I was there, which is certainly appreciated. They answered all the questions that I had and just made each visit the most pleasurable that it could be. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing this type of foot care.

I would highly recommend Dr. Brook to anyone with foot problems–especially problems that stump other podiatrists. He really is very caring and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Joel Brook and the staff were nice and helpful. Though I was a new patient, I got right in as soon as they were open in my preferred location. They diagnosed the problem and provided medicines along with a perfect gel bandage so I could keep exercising while my toes healed. My toes already hurt less and look a little better each day. If I have future issues, I will be a repeat customer. Here’s hoping I don’t, but at least I know my feet are in good hands.

I visited this office for an ingrown toe nail a few years ago. After seeing another doctor, who made it worse, he referred me to Dallas Podiatry Works. The doctor there was able to fix my problem. I’m not great with reviews, all I can tell you is that this doctor and staff will have you up and running or doing whatever it is you do in no time. You will be in great hands. You’d be a fool not to use this doctor. Now its time to visit him again for the other toe.
