“Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness.” – Napoleon Hill
Napoleon Hill was one of America’s foremost success and motivation authors and was also an advisor to President Franklin D. Roosevelt. His encouragement helped many people achieve great things in their lives and his writings continue to do so to this day.
Dr. Joel W. Brook, founder of Dallas Podiatry Works and practicing podiatrist since 1998, has spent his career giving selflessly to his patients. His dedication to diagnosing and treating all conditions of the foot and ankle with excellence has earned him a prestigious spot on D Magazine’s “Best Doctors” list. As the Dallas area’s premier bunion specialist, Dr. Brook has gained the trust and respect of his patients, colleagues and community. Dr. Brook has been recognized by D Magazine as a “best doctor” in both Dallas and Collin counties over ten times – which is a true testimony to the standard of care he provides.
Dr. Brook has pioneered revolutionary procedures that provide his patients with effective treatment that works fast and allows them to enjoy their lives to the fullest. Exparel, a long-acting local anesthetic that can provide pain relief for up to 4 days, is one such treatment which helps patients manage post-operative pain. At Dallas Podiatry Works, with offices in Dallas and Plano, TX, Dr. Brook and his staff offer boutique services, laser therapy for fungal toenails, treatment for sports injuries, children’s foot care, and state of the art therapy, including EPAT shock wave therapy for heel and arch pain and achilles tendonitis, to name just a few of the services provided.
When you step into Dr. Brook’s offices, you can expect your experience to be a holistic one. Dr. Brook recognizes that there is an entire body connected to your feet, and it is his desire to treat every aspect. He often sees patients who have physical or emotional issues which need to be addressed, and sometimes tie directly into the lower extremeties that he is treating. The key, for Dr. Brook, is to spend time with each and every patient, not only talking to and educating them, but also listening to them and ensuring that they get the best care possible. Being the best podiatrist is something Dr. Brook strives for, but his overall goal is to be one of the best physicians that his patients have.
Dr. Brook is an avid lecturer and is currently the chief of podiatric surgery at North Central Surgery Center in Dallas, TX. Dr. Brook is also a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association and American Diabetes Association. He has been married for beaucoup years and has three wonderful children. When not providing expert podiatry care, he can be found cooking, wood working, exercising, or working in his community.
If you or someone in your family is need of foot and ankle care, you can trust Dr. Joel Brook to provide the tailored, individualized care that you need and that your feet deserve. Make an appointment online or call our office at 972.853.7100.

The doctor has great “bedside manners” when talking to patients. Great staff and comfortable atmosphere.

The staff at Dallas Podiatry Works could not have been more courteous, helpful, and professional in doing their job. They made me feel comfortable when I was there, which is certainly appreciated. They answered all the questions that I had and just made each visit the most pleasurable that it could be. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing this type of foot care.

I would highly recommend Dr. Brook to anyone with foot problems–especially problems that stump other podiatrists. He really is very caring and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Joel Brook and the staff were nice and helpful. Though I was a new patient, I got right in as soon as they were open in my preferred location. They diagnosed the problem and provided medicines along with a perfect gel bandage so I could keep exercising while my toes healed. My toes already hurt less and look a little better each day. If I have future issues, I will be a repeat customer. Here’s hoping I don’t, but at least I know my feet are in good hands.

I visited this office for an ingrown toe nail a few years ago. After seeing another doctor, who made it worse, he referred me to Dallas Podiatry Works. The doctor there was able to fix my problem. I’m not great with reviews, all I can tell you is that this doctor and staff will have you up and running or doing whatever it is you do in no time. You will be in great hands. You’d be a fool not to use this doctor. Now its time to visit him again for the other toe.
